greetings from the vikingmaiden
yes so im guessing green is the color for a bit. i love green. i always have.
ive been drawing more lately. it feels good. ive been writing less. i guess its a cycle.
if a guy wrote this poem to me...
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red then her lips' red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head;
I have seen roses demasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks;
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go
(My mistress when she walks treads on the ground).
And yet by heaven I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.
id shoot him... however... if my husband wrote it... well... there might be a few chuckles. (Shakespeare by the way).
heres a sad one:
Woman's Complaint: Aztec Oral Tradition
What shall I do? My man compares me
to a wild red flower.
When i have withered in his hands,
He will leave me.
yeah, i agree. if you want real love poetry, read song of songs...i like the aztec saying though, although it could be my melancholy spirit that enjoys it so much...
